Montessori teachers in Montessori classrooms create powerful environments that foster students’ intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. These environments are highly sought after by families because Montessori experiences offer an excellent academic foundation coupled with the cultivation of each child’s independence, curiosity, and connection with each other and the world around them. Yet, in our educational institutions the policies, rules, and regulations that govern them have been designed for a tradition approach to education.  This creates unique challenges for Montessori programs to thrive.  TEAM partners with a diverse group of Texans to advocate for policies that support a thriving Montessori community in Texas.
